About our speaker...

Mark McKendrick is an Employee Benefits Advisor at Marsh McLennan Agency. His primary focus is partnering with HR leaders & business owners to design and implement cost-effective total rewards strategies that enable organizations to make informed decisions while enhancing employee well-being and serving their company culture.

Mark is on the Talent Task Force for the Dallas Regional Chamber and supports initiatives focused on solving employers’ most pressing talent challenges, including how companies attract, retain, and develop talent. He is also on the Board of Directors for a non-profit documentary film company called Fotolanthropy that shares true stories of strength and hope. Mark lives in Dallas with his wife Caroline and their two young daughters who love unicorns.

Ethics... it's a topic we often discuss, but rarely address directly in the workplace. Yet, we all rely on signs to keep us on track in our careers. I call these “rules of the road,” and ignoring them can lead to serious pitfalls. Fortunately, we have a framework—a “code of conduct”—laid out in our handbooks to guide us. But the best code of conduct isn’t just written; it’s demonstrated through our actions and behaviors, especially when others are watching. It’s our culture in action.

When was the last time you saw someone pull out the handbook to check the code of conduct during a challenge? Probably never. But what about when team members observe leaders navigating challenges? Their response will likely shape how others react in the future. This session will focus on some of those essential "rules of the road" that can guide us, our teams, business partners, and customers toward a partnership built on trust—even in the face of failure. As Vice President of Corporate Relocation for The Armstrong Company in Dallas, Texas, Bruce partners with HR, TA, and Mobility leaders to deliver comprehensive employee relocation and transportation solutions across the United States and around the world. He brings more than 30 years of experience helping organizations navigate the complexities of global mobility.

A passionate volunteer leader, Bruce serves as Assistant State Director for Texas SHRM and is a former president of DallasHR, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to advancing the HR profession.

Bruce is the author of four books, including the award-winning Find Your Lane, and hosts the podcast Life in the Leadership Lane, where he interviews leaders who are making a meaningful difference in today’s workplace.
